X-Files fans have wanted to believe in the return of their favorite '90s conspiracy show since the painfully mediocre 2008 movie X-Files: I Want to Believe. Now we X-Philes are finally getting what we want, and it smells like victory.
Gillian Anderson recently tweeted a picture of her and David Duchovny's chairs with the names of their characters "Scully" and "Mulder" on them, as well as the words "And so it begins..."
We know very little about the upcoming X-Files TV show, except that it will last a mere six episodes and see the return of Assistant Director Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi) and the Cigarette Smoking Man (William B. Davis), who was last seen being shot by missiles. We also suspect that it may touch on a beloved/hated/controversial episode, "Home."
But now we know that production has started, and that's good enough ... for now.
