Astronauts Scott Kelly, Oleg Kononenko, Mikhail Kornienko, Sergey Volkov, Kjell Lindgren and Kimiya Yui are already the luckiest folks on the planet -- or, perhaps, off the planet -- because sometime in September 2015 they're leaving terra firma for a mission to the International Space Station. But NASA is sending them off in style with this wonderful Star Wars-themed mission poster.
As we know, Star Wars is space fantasy, not science fiction. But NASA wants to let fans (and taxpayers) know that the Jedi-robed mission specialists aren't going to be learning the ways of the Force: The subtitle on the poster is "The science continues."
Here's hoping Lindgren remembers that he's there for the science; he's the one wielding a Sith blade.
Note: For those of you who know your movie posters, Radio Times has a quiz for you to match the NASA parody poster to the original movie.
