Get your stinking paws off the captain’s chair, you damn dirty ape!

Looks like we're not in Kansas on Earth anymore, and Capt. James Tiberius Kirk has gone ape on us -- or, most specifically, it's General Urko rocking a Starfleet uniform and a club on the bridge of the Enterprise.

This cool image is from the George Perez variant cover of IDW’s upcoming Star Trek/Planet of the Apes #1 (of 5) crossover comic book series that’ll be available in December.

If you guys will recall, we brought you the awesome news back in July that IDW and Boom!Studios were working on this epic miniseries.

Here’s a short synopsis for the first issue:

“Star Trek: The hope for the best of mankind's future. Planet of the Apes: A chilling look at the fall of humanity. How could these worlds possibly collide? What could possibly cause Captain Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise to side with Dr. Zaius to protect Ape City?  And what does Colonel George Taylor have to say about it? It's a madhouse! A madhouse!!”
