Brad Bird's The Iron Giant rocketed onto theater screens and into our geek hearts back in 1999, and it remains one of the most beloved and inspiring animated films of all time.
It's also deserving of first-class treatment by one of pop culture's most storied wizards. Check out this soaring artwork by the inimitable Alex Ross for next month's MondoCon in Austin, Texas.
MondoCon will coincide with the first weekend of Fantastic Fest's nerdtastic lineup of panels, workshops and screenings on Sept. 20-21, 2014, and will include an Iron Giant mini-gallery of participating artists tackling the memorable machine. Mondo unveiled the first print in this special anniversary tribute, with Ross pairing up with the collector printhouse for the first time.
This high-quality edition of 325 has been reproduced in a stunning 15" X 27" giclee print.
Do you think Ross captures the Iron Giant's mighty magic?
