It's the final couple of weeks before we descend into the madness of the newest big-screen adaptation of Stephen King's IT, and the first-week box-office estimates for Andy Muschietti's R-rated frightfest are looking formidable, at nearly $60 million.
As we carefully count down the days until we head off to Derry, Maine, here's a demented new Pennywise poster by artist Eduardo Valdivieso to freak yourself out with. This portrait is all part of Gallery 1988's upcoming art exhibition promoting the release of New Line Cinema's IT remake, creeping into theaters Sept. 8.
The shock show will feature multiple artists' works inspired by the Stephen King classic, and runs from Aug. 31 through Sept. 3 at the gallery's location at 7308 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, California.
Stare into the fathomless eyes of Bill Skarsgard's Pennywise in Valdivieso's new artwork above, and tell us if it's the stuff nightmares are made of.
