A new poster for Justice League was released online Saturday morning, ahead of the Warner Bros. panel scheduled for later in the day. The poster features the assembled League so far, Cyborg, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and The Flash, in an image that looks more like the hottest album cover of the year than your typical movie poster.
With all five looking serious and determined, the Justice League is clearly here to kick some major butt. The new tagline of "You can't save the world alone" stresses their need to be united. Built into the words are the symbols of The Flash, Cyborg, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman. It looks pretty great.
But yes, that means someone is missing from this poster: Superman. It seems that WB and DC Films are trying to keep fans in suspense about the character's return, as they've released no official images or clips of Henry Cavill back in action just yet. After his death in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, his comeback should be a big moment -- and probably a bit of a confusing one for Batman and Wonder Woman.
The final member of "the seven," as the original "Unite the Seven" tagline implied, is of course Green Lantern. Not only is there no GL on the poster, but his symbol doesn't even get referenced, so we may not even get a hint of the character in this film, despite speculation and hopes otherwise from fans.
Justice League and the rest of the WB lineup will take over Hall H today at 11:30 a.m. PT, so expect more news about the film as it comes in during the panel. Justice League hits theaters November 17, 2017.
