We're eagerly anticipating the epic team-up of superheroes that will undoubtedly happen when Avengers: Infinity War premieres next year, but in the meantime, a newly tweeted image gives us a sneak peek of the extensive female cast we can look forward to seeing in Marvel's upcoming comic-inspired feature.
As the cast of Infinity War gathered together for a sprawling Vanity Fair feature highlighting the past, present, and future of Marvel Studios, writer and producer Craig Kyle snapped a side photo that may be vastly superior to anything we've seen teased for the movie so far:
From left to right, the photo features some of the most recognizable faces (and upcoming new additions) to the Marvel universe: Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy), Tessa Thompson (Thor: Ragnarok), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Scarlet Johansson (The Avengers), Danai Gurira (Black Panther), Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy), Evangeline Lilly (Ant-Man), and Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2).
Some of these actors have yet to make their official appearances in the MCU -- Gurira and Larson specifically represent two of the many characters who have movies in the pipeline, as Black Panther and Captain Marvel will be rolling out both prior to and after Infinity War's release, respectively. Of course, the photo is also missing several other women who were present at the Vanity Fair shoot, like Iron Man's Gwyneth Paltrow and The Avengers' Elisabeth Olsen, but just the sight of so many in a room all together is the photographic proof that we likely have some amazing all-female allegiances to look forward to on May 4, 2018, when Avengers: Infinity War storms into theaters. The only question now is who will be partnering with whom to deliver some world-saving efforts onscreen. Any guesses?
