The ending to Jurassic Park could have been even more T-Rex-y.

Some unused storyboards from Steven Spielberg's 1993 sci-fi classic have surfaced, revealing a different ending that would have focused on a T-Rex chase and a thrilling helicopter escape. The scene was originally supposed to factor heavily into the film's big finale, though the ending was subsequently retooled with various drafts of the script. So this scene never even made it off the concept page.

According to Jurassic Time, the images come from Phil Tippett's early storyboards ... and it looks pretty great. The ending would've followed Grant and the kids as they tried to outrun the T-Rex to reach a helicopter, and the T-Rex would've snapped at the 'copter and actually inflicted a bit of damage before the chopper lifted off to safety.

Check out the art below and let us know what you think of the scene.
