Avengers: Infinity War hasn't even been in theaters for a month and we're already getting peeks behind the "curtain" of the Hollywood magic that was performed to create the massive blockbuster. Yesterday, Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man) shared a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram, which shows multiple takes of the scene where Tony, Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), and Wong (Benedict Wong) come face to face with two members of Thanos's Black Order: Ebony Maw (Tom Vaughan-Lawlor) and Cull Obsidian (Terry Notary).
The two villains want the Time Stone, which is affixed to the Eye of Agamotto, the mystic relic used by the good Doctor. This scene is where Downey delivers the crowd-pleasing line "GET LOST, SQUIDWARD!" to Maw. Tony then unveils some nifty new nano-Iron Man tech, and since he's been away from Earth for several years, Banner exclaims, "Where did that come from?!" A fight ensues between Iron Man, Strange, and Wong, but not the Hulk, who doesn't want to get involved because he's stubborn AF.
In the video below, you can see different takes of the exchange between Downey and Ruffalo, as well as directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who are watching the performances on the monitors.
On the same day that Downey posted the video to his Instagram, it was announced that Infinity War would be released on digital home release July 31. There isn't a set release date for the DVD and Blu-ray, but it's possible that we'll get to see plenty of behind-the-scenes clips just like this one, amid all the bonus content. With such a massive production, you know they've got plenty of outtakes, deleted scenes, commentary tracks, and so on.
