If you've ever wanted to see how your favorite DC superheroes would fare in a battle with He-Man and friends, then surely you've been enjoying the DC Comics' series Injustice vs. Masters of the Universe. The title throws them all together, heroes and villains alike, and they are all fighting for the power of Grayskull.
Normally we'd give the DC characters the edge here, but these aren't the regular DC characters that we know and love. These are the versions of the characters from the Injustice world, which started as a game that features all of the DC characters beating the Apokalips out of each other.
Superman, for instance, is not a great guy— quite the opposite, really. After the death of Lois Lane, he's pretty much become a full-on Nazi. Wonder Woman is a manipulative horror, and betrayal bogs them all from all sides. Batman stands firm on the side of good, but what chance does he have against a heel-turned Superman? A fairly good one, it turns out.. but that was before Skeletor, Mer-Man, Cyclops, He-Man, Man-at-Arms, and the rest of the Masters bunch joined the fray.
Today we have an exclusive look at issue #5 of the series, courtesy of DC Comics. The cover alone, by Freddie E Williams II, is enough to get us excited:
If the sight of Darkseid (with the smuggest possible look on his face) right outside Castle Grayskull doesn't scare you a little, well, you're likely not scared of anything. The new issue will be written by Tim Seeley, with artwork by Freddy E. Williams II. The issue will deal with Superman reeling from being betrayed by Skeletor (wow) and fearing the power that Darkseid gained in his attack on Grayskull. He'll join up with his old gang, but will their combined strength be enough to win the day?
Injustice vs. Masters of the Universe #5 will be available on Nov. 28. Take a look at the first five pages in the gallery below.
