Danny Rand's gonna have to do a lot more than sweep the leg of New York's criminal underbelly if he wants peace in the streets — though that glowing fist should certainly still come in handy.
A new trailer for Season 2 of Iron Fist is now online, and it teases the burden that Daredevil has left in the wake of his absence. Danny (Finn Jones) is now out every night, fighting bad guys and lighting up his fist, which is taking quite the toll on his love life with Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick).
And to make matters worse, his old friend from K'un-Lun, Davos (Sacha Dhawan), is back with a vengeance, because he wants the power and honor of being the Iron Fist. In the trailer, however, he's got a dragon-esque tattoo, but unlike Danny's it's on his back and doesn't resemble Shou-Lao. He's also got a glowing fist of his own, although it's not specified whether he steals the power from Rand or is harnessing a more sinister energy. In any case, Davos is establishing his own Cobra Kai dojo with the help of Joy Meachum (Jessica Stroup), who blames Danny for the death of her father at the end of Season 1.
David Wenham will return this season as Ward Meachum (you can glimpse him in the trailer at 1:50), but Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple), the glue holding all the Netflix Marvel shows together, will not. Nevertheless, Misty Knight (Simone Missick) is crossing over from Luke Cage, so that she can lend a hand to Danny and Colleen. In addition, Alice Eve (Star Trek: Into Darkness) joins the show as "Typhoid Mary" Walker, a supervillain who, in the comics, has advanced martial arts abilities, pyrokinesis, and telekinesis.
The second season of Marvel's Iron Fist punches onto Netflix Sept. 7.
