Katee Sackhoff is trading in her Viper for a horror story this year, and here’s the first look at Don’t Knock Twice.
The Battlestar Galactica alum is set to headline the mid-budget horror flick, about a mother (Sackhoff) who is a recovering addict and famous artist. Sackhoff’s character is trying to reconnect with her troubled teenage daughter (Lucy Boynton), but all that goes sideways when the kid attracts the attention of an evil demon witch at a nearby home. The trailer looks solid and could be worth a few good scares, and if nothing else, who wouldn’t want to see Sackhoff slug it out with a demon witch?
It’s actually getting a halfway decent reception from critics, and could be a nice little horror surprise. The film is produced by IFC Midnight’s banner and directed by Caradog W. James (The Machine). Don’t Knock Twice is slated for a limited theatrical opening and VOD release on Feb. 3.
