It seems like the Wyld Stallyns have been trying to reunite for longer than the iconic duo of Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter have been apart. Maybe they too were stuck in time. But now, fans of the duo don’t need to worry any longer. It’s official: Bill & Ted 3 is happening. Whoa!
The film titled Bill & Ted Face The Music has been opened up to international sales at the Cannes Film Festival and it’ll likely go pretty quickly, according to The Hollywood Reporter. MGM will be releasing the newest movie to feature "Ted" Theodore Logan and "Bill" S. Preston Esq. here in the U.S., and it looks like the money is there to support the talent the film has attracted.
“We couldn't be more excited to get the whole band back together again," said Reeves and Winter. "Chris and Ed wrote an amazing script, and with Dean at the helm we've got a dream team!"
The screenwriters and director the duo refer to are the original Bill & Ted creators and the guy behind Galaxy Quest, respectively. That’s quite a pedigree for a film that would see an older Bill and Ted team up with their daughters on a time-travelling romp to write the best song of all time. For fans who've been waiting on every rumor and unofficial decree for the past few years, this news is truly, truly excellent.
