We've finally got our first full trailer for the second season of Hannibal, and it's going to leave you aching for the season premiere.
Bryan Fuller's darkly beautiful horror/crime drama returns in little more than a month, and dedicated fans of the show are eager to see just how Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) will convince his colleagues that the real monster in the picture isn't him but Dr. Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) himself. Like last week's teaser, the full trailer doesn't give us much in the way of clues as to how anyone gets out of this mess, but it does call back several memorable images from season one -- particularly the Minnesota Shrike case -- and teases a gruesome new body count for season two. Plus the trailer reveals a faceoff between Will and Hannibal, and a terrifying confrontation between Dr. Lecter and one of the FBI's own that doesn't look like it ends well at all for either party. We're not telling you who's battling the Doctor here, though, because it's a bit spoilery. If you want to know, you'll have to watch the full trailer below.
Well ... that was intense, huh? From the looks of things, the second season is definitely not afraid to build on the risks the first season already took, so be ready for plenty more gorgeously rendered carnage and more than a few shocks.
Hannibal returns Feb. 28.
