OK we’ll admit it, we did not see this battle coming. But it seems as though Asgardian goddess of death Hela has found an unlikely new rival: substitute school teacher Dewey Finn.

We’re talking about Cate Blanchett and Jack Black, of course, who appear to have got into a friendly fight – or a “Battle of the Jams” – on the set of their new movie The House With a Clock in Its Walls. It all started when Black called out Thor: Ragnarok for using Led Zeppelin’s "Immigrant Song," which was also used in his comedy classic School of Rock.

“You know that part in School of Rock where I sing a part of that monstrous Led Zeppelin jam "Immigrant Song"?” Black said in an Instagram video. “And it’s super bitchin’ and the raddest part of the movie. Well, it’s come to my attention, that someone kinda stole that chunk of our movie and put it in their movie. That’s right, I’m talking about Thor: Ragnarok. Totally bit our style. Totally poached our jam,” adding that he was going to challenge Chris Hemsworth and director Taika Waititi to a “battle of the jams,” hash-tagging "School Of Ragnarok."

Luckily for Hemsworth and Waititi, the challenge fell to Blanchett, and the ensuing madness is probably the best thing we’ve seen all year. The duo are seen jamming it out to the track – that was not only used in the teasers and trailers for Thor: Ragnarok, but also twice in the movie itself – as well as being joined by their director, Eli Roth.

One thing is for sure, these guys are having way too much fun on set together, and we’re a little bit jealous. Providing they get on with finishing the movie after their jamming session, The House With a Clock in Its Walls is set to hit cinemas on Sept. 21, 2018.
