In the upcoming third-person multiplayer horror survival game, we’re going back to Camp Crystal Lake as gamers have to co-operate in order to survive as one of the unlucky teen counselors while one lucky bastard player will be on the hunt as Jason.

The folks at IGN have just made a killing by nabbing over 17 minutes of awesome gameplay footage from the crowdfunded videogame Friday the 13th: The Game, and you can see Jason Voorhees in all his serial-killing glory below.

In the footage below — which boasts the Friday the 13th theme and music to chilling effects (Friday the 13th composer Harry Manfredini is scoring the game, you guys) — players have to hunt for weapons to defend themselves with, and we get to see the poor unlucky souls run around the camp and the surrounding woods, climb through windows and hide as best they can (and more) as they try to escape the relentless Jason. If you're a fan of survival horror games, this should be right up your dark alley!

What’s also great about the game is that the horror icon is once again played by Kane Hodder, and while it was originally set for a fall of 2016 release, Friday the 13th: The Game (which is currently in Beta test mode) will now hit store shelves on Xbox One, PS4 and PC (and for digital download on Steam) sometime in early 2017 and will include Tommy Jarvis (the dude who killed Jason) as a playable character with the single-player/offline AI Bots version available in the summer. Check out the gameplay below, and let us know what you think.
