Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights) is overseeing another drama in development at NBC, a modern-day take on The Wizard of Oz, Variety reported.

Dorothy Gale comes from Friday Night Lights writer Bridget Carpenter, who's executive-producing; Katims will serve as a nonwriting executive producer with Meryl Poster.

The script follows the story of Dorothy, a girl from Kansas who tries to tackle modern-day Manhattan (her version of the Emerald City). Dorothy finds a job in the art world—and must deal with a wicked boss.

Carpenter's credits also include Bionic Woman, Dead Like Me and Head Cases.
