Jeff Goldblum returns to Jurassic World in more ways than one. Not only is the actor set to reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm in the upcoming Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, but also in a new video game based on the franchise.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Goldblum will appear in the new video game set for release this summer. Universal Brand Development and Frontier’s Jurassic World Evolution puts players in charge of operations on Isla Nublar and the surrounding islands, where they can build attractions and bioengineer new dinosaur breeds, something the sarcastic mathematician Dr. Malcom may call “the worst idea in the long, sad history of bad ideas.”
But the game isn’t about Dr. Malcom mocking and ridiculing the players for playing God and meddling with nature in unnatural ways. Rather, he’s there to guide players through their decision-making processes. Just don’t take the dinosaurs off the island. Dr. Malcolm wouldn’t recommend it.
“I highly recommend it,” says Goldblum in the video — about the game, not relocating the dinosaurs. “It gets 10 Goldblums out of a possible 10 Goldblums. That’s my highest rating.”
Goldblum first played Dr. Malcom in the original 1993 Jurassic Park film directed by Steven Spielberg. He returned for the 1997 sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park (also directed by Spielberg), but did not appear in the third or fourth films in the series.

The game will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
