We’re less than a month away from Guillermo del Toro’s next opus, Crimson Peak, and Legendary Pictures has released three new clips and a cool five minutes of B-roll footage from the upcoming R-rated gothic-horror movie.

The first clip reveals that Lady Lucille Sharpe, played by Jessica Chastain, and her brother Sir Thomas Sharpe, played by the swoon-worthy Tom Hiddleston, have a deep, dark secret. If said secret were exposed, Lady Lucille would be locked up while Sir Thomas would hang. Ugh. That sounds pretty bad, doesn't it? Mum's the word!

Clip number two has Thomas carry his beautiful young bride, Edith Cushing (Mia Wasikowska), through the front door of his derelict gothic mansion (awww, isn't that romantic?), while the third and final clip has Thomas and Lucille “comforting” Edith after she’s seen a ghost. Check out the cool clips and B-roll footage (which includes a bit of tomfoolery) below:

When her heart is stolen by a seductive stranger, a young woman is swept away to a house atop a mountain of blood-red clay: a place filled with secrets that will haunt her forever. Between desire and darkness, between mystery and madness, lies the truth behind Crimson Peak. From the imagination of director Guillermo del Toro comes a supernatural mystery starring Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska and Charlie Hunnam.

Crimson Peak hits movie theaters on Oct. 16. Will Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming horror film be a must-see for you?
