After seeing pictures of Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) heading to prison and knowing that David Tennant's Kilgrave will return in some way — at least in her mind — her second season in the MCU’s Netflix saga seemed troubled at best.

Now that we have a trailer, we know a little bit more about a season that boasts an all-female directorial staff and a whole lot of chips on its strong shoulders.

Here’s the new poster just to give you a peek at what’s coming:

Pretty bleak, no? Just sitting around alone, no filter, no friends except the bottle on her desk.

The Defenders’ least-willing member has plenty of violence, turmoil, and alcoholism in her tease for what comes next.

Take a look:

Heroism is unwantedly put upon her (a child asks if she knows Captain America) while others attempt to horn in on her business. That business, aside from solving crimes, is finding out how her family’s car accident happened and who experimented on her, giving her incredible powers.

Her investigation will lead her to becoming as monstrous as those she’s attempting to stop — with the violence escalating and those closest to her pleading for her to allow them to help. A sidekick might not be what she wants, but it could be necessary just to keep her stable, her friend Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) cautions.

You can find out if any of this advice is taken and what, if any, answers she finds when Jessica Jones returns for a second season on Netflix during International Women’s Day on March 8.
