Jessica Lange was a tour de force during her four seasons on the anthology series American Horror Story. Thanks to the latest season, Apocalypse, we get to see Lange return to the show as the character that started it all for her, Constance Langdon.

AHS: Murder House featured Constance as the very evil mother of Tate Langdon (Evan Peters), and the grandmother of the twins birthed by Vivian Harmon (Connie Britton), who died in childbirth. One of the twins, Michael, has already made his presence known in Apocalypse, so it only fits that his grandmother is not far behind.

To celebrate reaching 300k followers on Instagram, show creator Ryan Murphy posted the following photo, featuring the first look at Lange returning to the AHS set as Constance, as she shares a laugh with fellow co-star and episode director Sarah Paulson.

It was announced this past summer that Lange would be returning, so while not a shock, it certainly sends shivers down the spine to know we’ll be getting more of “Queen Constance.” Lange joins other AHS alumni Britton, Dylan McDermott, Taissa Farmiga, and Billy Eichner in Apocalypse's Murder House/Coven crossover.

AHS gets crazier with each season. Having these returning characters enter the universe as it is now could take it to even greater heights of insanity.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse currently airs Wednesdays on FX.
