Be careful who you hire when you're looking for a magician.
That's the moral of the story in this pretty freakin' funny clip from late night host Jimmy Kimmel, who was searching on LinkedIn for some entertainment for a child's birthday party and stumbled upon the contact info for the Sorceror Supreme (Benedict Cumberbatch).
Apparently there was a misunderstanding on both sides: Kimmel thinks Strange can do magic tricks to keep the kiddies enthralled for an hour, while Strange is under the impression that he's been called to the scene to get some demons under control (and I can say from personal experience that that's not too far off from running a children's party).
Once the situation becomes clear, however, Strange is ready to bail until Kimmel dangles a little cash under his nose (hey, rent ain't cheap in the Village these days, especially for a rather large Sanctum Sanctorum). Even then, however, Strange and a gaggle of toddlers don't exactly make for the best company.
Watch the clip below. We probably don't need to remind you that Doctor Strange, which stars Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen and Benedict Wong alongside Cumberbatch, arrives in theaters in two weeks on Nov. 4. And he's available for parties.
