Friday the 13th just got even spookier. The year’s scariest day just added a legendary leader of the horror world to its schedule, as Shudder is bringing back ‘90s MonsterVision host and good ol’ boy cryptkeeper Joe Bob Briggs for a movie marathon.

Beginning at 9 PM EST on Friday, July 13, Joe Bob Briggs will be hosting 24 solid hours of horror - including his classic Drive-in Totals at the end, of course - for the last time. “You don’t pay attention this time, that’s it,” the host says in the trailer below. “I do not want to have to explain this stuff to you people again.”

A deadpan trailer dweller with a penchant for totalling stuff like amount of Devil sex, number of car chases, and body count, Briggs led a horror cult for a decade and a half that included guests like Wes Craven and John Waters. Now, with The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, the host is coming back for one last hurrah - or 13 last hurrahs, since that’s how many movies will be playing on Shudder.

So far the itinerary consists of Tourist Trap, Sleepaway Camp, and Basket Case - bloody slashers all with just the right amount of low-fi camp to take you back to your teenage channel-surfing days. “Joe Bob is a horror icon and raconteur whose signature wit and insightful commentary entertained viewers for 14 years on TV,” said Craig Engler, general manager of Shudder. “We’re delighted to bring him back for this exclusive Shudder event where new fans can discover him, and old fans can rediscover him, as he takes on some of the greatest low-budget horror movies ever made.”

With cult horror icons like Svengoolie and the Cryptkeeper finding a new audience as their work becomes widespread online, this is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with a schlocky genre legend.
