What's that saying about a picture being worth a thousand words? It seems like a photo Joe Manganiello (True Blood, Magic Mike) posted to Twitter confirms his eventual appearance as villain Deathstroke in the DCEU films. But we're still not sure exactly when that will happen.

First the DC Comics character Deathstroke was said to be appearing as the main villain in a stand-alone Batman film directed by and starring Ben Affleck. Then, when Affleck dropped out as the director and his version of the script was tossed by newcomer Matt Reeves, it seemed like Deathstroke might not make an appearance in the film at all.

But the most recent turn of events finds director Gareth Evans writing and directing a stand-alone Deathstroke film, after Warner Bros. reportedly greenlit The Raid: Redemption creator's pitch. However, there was no confirmation that Manganiello would still be on board to play DC's infamous assassin.

But alas, Manganiello recently posted the photo below on Twitter, implying that Manganiello will still be playing Deathstroke in the stand-alone film:

The photo of Deathstroke's immediately recognizable mask appears to not only confirm Manganiello's involvement, but also imply some intense battles for the character, intense enough to cause some gnarly gashes. Because that mask could use a new paint job!

Considering there's no word on exactly when the film will be released, there's some time to fix it up.
