John Boyega explains what's new in Star Wars Battlefront II

Star Wars Battlefront II doesn't hit consoles until November 17, but Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega is here to explain all the new features.

In this new trailer for the video game, Boyega (who you may recognize as Finn in the new Star Wars films) shows off such features as new locations, heroes, and vehicles; new class gameplay; a rebuilt Star Card system; five different multiplayer modes; offline solo modes; and an "untold story that helps bridge the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens."

In addition to all the multiplayer stuff fans know and love, Battlefront II looks to push the franchise forward by introducing an ambitious single-player mode that spans the 30-year gap between the end of the original trilogy and the events of The Force Awakens. But instead of focusing on a Rebel hero, the story is framed around an officer of the Empire who genuinely believes the Empire is the best option for the galaxy. It's a fascinating concept, and here's hoping EA can pull it off.

Star Wars Battlefront II will be available for PC, XBox One, and PS4, in both standard and deluxe editions.
