The Star Wars franchise is one of the biggest, most popular filming today. So it's no surprise that celebrities are practically lining up for a cameo in Rian Johnson's upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi, even those with royal blood. The first film in the new trilogy, The Force Awakens, featured cameos by Simon Pegg, Warwick Davis, and Daniel Craig, so we're certainly expecting some good ones to pop up in TLJ.
John Boyega, who stars in the new trilogy as Finn, confirmed a few very famous names who showed up to set while filming Episode VIII. As he told BBC Radio4, Boyega is tired of keeping secrets, and tired of dodging questions about who visited the set, particularly in regard to the royal appearances of Prince William and Prince Harry. So, he spilled ...
“I’ve had enough with those secrets. They came on set. They were there. I’m sick of hiding it. I think it was leaked, anyway. There were images. Every time I get asked, I have to dodge it. I’m tired of dodging it. They were there. So was Tom Hardy.”
Rumors began last year when the Daily Mail reported that the two princes visited the set and secretly filmed a scene as stormtroopers. However, Boyega thinks that their scene was cut from the final print. And he didn't specify what role Hardy played -- or whether he even shot a scene.
We'll soon see when Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens wide Dec. 15.
