Warner Bros. has released another clip from this week's Man of Steel, one that tackles the most important moment of Superman's life: when his parents shipped him to Earth. If they hadn't made that decision, he would have never gone on to become the hero we know and love.
The following scene features Kal-El's bio parents Jor-El (Russell Crowe) and Lara Lor-Van (Ayelet Zurer) as they prepare for his departure. At the last minute, Lara is having second thoughts about their plan. She's concerned about their son's safety. She assumes he might die on the journey, or be tormented by Earth's citizens.
Despite Lara's reservations, Jor-El knows what has to be done. Krypton is a ticking time bomb, and he wants Kal-El to have a chance. We have to say, Crowe easily fits into the role of Jor-El. Marlon Brando is a hard act to follow, but he's hanging in there.
