Jordan Peele hijacks Super Bowl feed to promote Twilight Zone reboot

Jordan Peele interrupted the Super Bowl in order to promote his upcoming reboot of Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone on CBS All Access. The Big Game seemed to return from the commercial break when the picture began to become all garbled before the screen informed viewers that "CBS IS OFF THE AIR."

Before fans got too worried that something was wrong with their televisions, Peele, wearing an immaculate suit, walks onto an empty football field to wax poetically about our reality in the vein of Serling himself. This makes a ton of sense, as the Get Out and Us writer/director is serving as the new show's host.

Finally, he stares straight into the camera and asks, "What dimension are you even in?" As Peele disappears through a door that leads to nowhere, we hear the eerie and iconic theme song of the original series.

Here's the teaser:

Following in the footsteps of the original and its numerous revivals over the years, Peele’s take on The Twilight Zone will be an anthology of stories told through the lens of sci-fi, horror, and fantasy—often with a shocking twist and/or moral revealed at the very end of each episode.

So far, it has been announced that a number of high-profile actors will appear on the show: Adam Scott, Jacob Tremblay, Sanaa Lathan, John Cho, Allison Tolman, Steven Yeun, Greg Kinnear, DeWanda Wise, Jessica Williams, Lucinda Dryzek, Taissa Farmiga, Rhea Seehorn, Luke Kirby, and Ike Barinholtz.

In particular, Scott will appear in a modern remake of "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet," based on the short story by Richard Matheson. This episode (updated to 30,000 feet for 2019) will revolve around a man who is tormented by a gremlin only he can see during a stormy flight. The role was made famous by William Shatner in 1963.

Peele's reboot will premiere on CBS All Access on April 1.
