Tim Burton is beefing up the cast of his live-action Dumbo, adding Joseph Gatt (Z Nation, Game of Thrones) to the film. Gatt will play a character named Skellig, but no other info on the character is available at this time.
According to Deadline, Burton’s version of the 1941 animated Disney film “follows Holt, a former circus star who finds his life turned upside down when he returns from the war. Circus owner Max Medici enlists him to care for a newborn elephant whose oversize ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when Holt’s children discover that Dumbo can fly, persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere and aerial artist Colette Marchant swoop in to make the peculiar pachyderm a star.”
The film stars Colin Farrell (Fright Night, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) as Holt, and includes a number of actors who have previously appeared in Tim Burton films: Michael Keaton (Beetlejuice), Danny DeVito (Batman Returns), and Eva Green (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children).
Currently, Tim Burton’s Dumbo is scheduled to hit theaters March 29, 2019.
