It looks like Rudolph isn’t the only one who must deal with reindeer chicanery.
Back in August, we reported that the animated film Elliot: The Littlest Reindeer would be hitting theaters this holiday season. And now, whether you're naughty or nice, we've got a first trailer to prove it!
Elliot (Josh Hutcherson) is a miniature horse that wants to try out for Santa’s sled team after Blitzen announces his retirment. Elliot will have to deal with both the training and preparation for what looks like the actual reindeer games, as well as the other reindeer who don’t think he belongs.
Check out the first trailer below.
Directed by Jennifer Westcott (Locked in a Garage Band) and starring Hutcherson (Future Man, The Hunger Games), Samantha Bee (Full Frontal), Morena Baccarin (Gotham, Deadpool), and John Cleese (Monty Python), the movie will be released in theaters for just one day on Saturday, Dec. 1, before heading to home video.
With holiday films a plenty this season — like The Grinch remake starring Benedict Cumberbatch and the original Netflix movie, The Christmas Chronicles, starring Kurt Russell — there's a whole lot of holiday cheer to go around. But as far we know, this is the only viewing option that involves Rudolph and a tiny horse.
