The first full trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom doesn't drop until Thursday (not that we are counting the days or anything), and while a couple teaser clips have appeared, the waiting is getting difficult.
To keep you satiated till Thursday, check out the new parody video below, featuring Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt. In the clip, Filmmaker and "digital magician" Zach King has just revealed the Fallen Kingdom trailer to the stars for the first time. Of course, we don't get to see it, but Pratt thinks it needs more dinosaurs (he's not wrong; everything is better with more dinosaurs).
But there is no time for that, they must upload the trailer. Unfortunately, they discover "things have gotten ominous" outside the conference room. There is a dinosaur roaming around, or some such beast, thwarting their plans to upload the trailer! So if the trailer doesn't show up online on Thursday, we know who to blame.
The plot for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has been kept under wraps mostly, but Entertainment Weekly is now reporting that the action picks up "several years" after Jurassic World, with dinosaurs running amok and a volcano threatening to make the creatures extinct once again. Leaving Pratt's Owen Grady and Howard's Claire Dearing as the dinosaurs last hope for survival.
“Claire’s founded an organization, Dinosaur Protection Group, and they’re finding a way to get these dinosaurs off the island,” says Howard. “She reaches out to Owen Grady to let him know this is happening.”
So apparently the chemistry Owen and Claire built up in Jurassic World is now having a mixed reaction. “When you see them at the beginning of this story, you get caught up as to what’s going on,” Howard explains. “But it’s not what you would necessarily expect.”
Of course, the first film also sets up B.D. Wong's character, Dr. Wu, as being part of a secret government plot to weaponize dinosaurs, so perhaps that could be part of your expectations for the sequel, as well.
Besides Howard, Pratt, and Wong, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom also features the return of Jeff Goldblum as the ever-chaotic Dr. Ian Malcolm. Also joining the cast are Toby Jones (Captain America and Harry Potter franchises), Ted Levine (Silence of the Lambs), James Cromwell (American Horror Story: Asylum; I, Robot), and Justice Smith (The Get Down, the upcoming live action Pokemon movie). Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is directed by J.A. Bayona (The Orphanage, A Monster Calls) and written by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly (Jurassic World). The film is set to hit theaters June 22, 2018.
