The CW’s superhero empire continues to expand, and now we have a new look at the return of the time-hopping adventure Legends of Tomorrow.

We’ve seen the premiere for Season 2, and it really does embrace the zaniness of the premise in a way they never managed to grasp the first year. A new trailer for Season 2 shows off the Legends as they step into the void left by the Time Masters and try to keep peace across the time stream. Dinosaurs, Nazis, the Justice Society of America (JSA) — Legends has it all in one insanely fun package. Heck, there’s even a Civil War-set zombie story and the (surprise!) return of Jonah Hex.

Oh, and the crossovers. So many crossovers. Legends was a team-up show last year, but the network is really doubling down on the concept here. Stalwarts from Flash and Arrow are represented, plus a plum assortment of villains from the history of the Arrow-verse. Here's hoping Legends finally finds its footing in Year 2.

Legends of Tomorrow returns to The CW on Oct. 13.
