Justin Timberlake’s forthcoming album may be called Man of the Woods, but the first track released, titled "Filthy," is anything but rural. The video — which has shocked, titillated, and otherwise confused the internet — follows Timberlake as a Steve Jobs-like sweater-attired tech hype man as he introduces his new guy, Robot.

Just look take a look below.

This automaton bumps and grinds as hard as JT in his heyday, moving the Ally McBeal baby more than a few decades into the future.

Then things get very strange, as the neon-lit robot begins mimicking heavy breathing while it dances with a team of women. When the dancing gets more scandalous, the audience is surprisingly receptive rather than frightened that this dry-humping ‘bot is stealing all the human women.

Fans have been less unanimous in their reactions, however. Some praise the music:

While others appreciate its sci-fi weirdness (warning, some NSFW language):

Then there are those who aren’t sold on this techno-fetish future:

We can only imagine more leaps of imaginative faith when Man of the Woods comes out Feb. 2.
