Sure, former Doctor Who companion Karen Gillan is already getting her taste of the Marvel universe as Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy — but she has her sights set on a bigger prize.

While promoting her (surprisingly fun) horror flick, Oculus, the actress chatted with SFX about the superhero genre and which role she would most want to take on, given a choice. Her answer? She wants to be a web-slinger. Here’s the choice Q&A excerpt:

SFX: If you could play a superhero, which one would you choose?

Gillan: Yeah, who is there…? I want to play a version of Spider-Man that’s a lady.

SFX: Spider-Woman?

Gillan: Spider-Woman – does she exist?

SFX: There’s a Spider-Woman and a Spider-Girl.

Gillan: I want to play Spider-Girl!

From what we’ve seen of Gillan in Guardians, she definitely seems to have the action chops to pull it off. Now, all we need is for Sony to start cooking up plans for a Spider-Girl spin-off. Hey, if the Sinister Six and everybody else can get a movie, why not May “Mayday” Parker?

What do you think? Could Gillan pull it off?
