While at San Diego Comic-Con to promote his upcoming (and, according to those who've seen it, mind-blowing) Dredd film, Karl Urban tried to explain away his recent Star Trek 2 villain reveal snafu of earlier this week—and then proceeded to make another thrilling reveal.

Speaking to Comingsoon, Urban opened up about the major Gary Mitchell controversy he created by "accidentally" revealing the name of the villain Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch was portraying in J.J. Abrams' upcoming Trek sequel.

"I'm really not at liberty to discuss anything about Star Trek. All I can say is that I did that interview after a 22-hour flight from New Zealand. I literally hopped off the plane into the interview."

While the Star Trek sequel has no real presence at Comic-Con this year (which surprised and disappointed many, many fans), Urban had this VERY tantalizing tidbit to reveal:

"I can promise you that before the end of Comic-Con, some exclusive Star Trek footage, it's going to come out. You're going to find it. It's going to come out."

The actor later elaborated on this comment at the Masters of the Web panel by saying that there would be "secret" footage from Star Trek 2 on YouTube.

Right: Let's all keep our eyes peeled! What do you guys think? Isn't it about time an OFFICIAL answer be given to all those Star Trek 2 villain speculations? Do you believe it'll really happen before the end of Comic-Con?
