Kate Mara may have been cast as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman, in director Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot, but it looks like the actress knows next to nothing about her famous comic-book role in the film.
During an interview with IGN for Transcendence, the actress was asked about her role in Fox's upcoming Marvel superhero flick.
Here's the gist of what she knows. Yep, she did confirm she was playing Sue Storm (at least there’s that). Nope, she doesn’t know if she’ll even have a costume (OK). However, the actress assured us that Trank’s version would be a "grounded" take on a superhero film.
Here’s what she told IGN:
"Well I don't know very much about it, which is weird but true! Umm, all I know is that it's going to be a very different take on the film, which people may not expect . I'm not really familiar with the comic books...I picked up a few when I got the part. I think we're making a very grounded version of a superhero film. I trust Josh Trank's vision as I was a huge fan of Chronicle."

It’s a little surprising that Mara doesn’t seem to know that much about the superhero film she's going to be in, and the character she'll bring to life -- even if she says she did pick a few comics after she got the part.
Let's all hope that it’s either some sort of move to keep her performance more “grounded,” or that it's just a ploy on her part to keep us in the dark for now. What do you guys think?
