The Black Panther soundtrack has been making waves since the Kendrick Lamar-curated album began dropping star-studded singles featuring such Grammy-winning musicians as The Weeknd and Lamar himself. Now, with a week until the film hits theaters, the album’s out in full — and Lamar is spreading the love to everyone on social media.
Alongside the previously released and trailer-featured singles “All The Stars,” “King’s Dead,” and “Pray For Me,” you can now stream “Black Panther,” “X,” “Bloody Waters,” and more on Spotify.
The previously released songs had a mix of cinematic soundscapes and hard-hitting vocals that lent power to the lyrics and drove the action-packed visuals they accompanied. Now, with the full spectrum released, we have a much better idea of the film’s emotional scope.
Kendrick shared links to the album on his Twitter:
That Lamar is so heavily involved, along with a ton of rap superstars, makes the case that while Black Panther will almost certainly be the No. 1 movie on its opening weekend, Black Panther: The Album will likely have a similarly strong debut on the music charts.
