Kevin Feige confirms at least one Phase 4 movie for Marvel

What comes after Avengers: Infinity War closes out Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

It's a good question, and if there's one man who knows the answer, it's Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. As Feige has explained before, Captain America: Civil War opens the third series of movies in the MCU, which will come to a close with the two-part all-hands-on-deck blowout of Infinity War. But surely the MCU doesn't end there?

Of course not, unless the next nine films all tank, which is unlikely. In fact, Marvel already has three release dates in 2020 on the board, well past Infinity War's conclusion in May 2019 and the possibly delayed Inhumans movie in July 2019. As for what those three films could be, Feige hinted at one of them in an interview with io9:

"We’re only working on what’s been announced through the end of 2019. And it is still a big chess board for 2020 and beyond, but certainly I would say Guardians 3 is (one film that’s) up there. I don’t know what exactly the order will be.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 makes sense, given how popular the first one was and that the May 2017 sequel is likely to be just as huge. Could Inhumans move into one of those 2020 spots if it does in fact get pushed back? Nothing against the Inhumans on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but we still want to see Black Bolt and the Royal Family of Attilan on the big screen. It's quite feasible that a third Phase 4 film could be a sequel to Doctor Strange, another Spider-Man movie, or a second Black Panther entry, depending on how all those properties do in the next couple of years.

Either way, Phase 4 is a few years away, but we have an idea of at least one of the movies that will show up there. With a lot of contracts ending and major storylines coming to a close with Avengers: Infinity War, it's a safe bet to say that the MCU will look a bit different in four or five years than it does now. Who or what would you like to see in Phase 4?
