Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige has been doing a lot of press lately where he tackled a lot of Marvel Phase Three movies, including: Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2, the untitled Spider-Man movie and now Thor: Ragnarok.

Speaking to Empire Magazine (via Comic Book Movie), Kevin Feige touched base on the Asgardian God of Thunder’s (Chris Hemsworth) third solo film, Thor: Ragnarok. Feige said that despite the movie’s title, fans shouldn’t assume that the movie will be about the Norse Apocalypse, aka The End of the World, aka The End is Nigh, that sort of thing. Instead, fans should expect this new Thor movie to be as different as the previous two. That's a good thing, right? Here's what Feige said:

“I don't think people will read into that title alone [regarding] what the movie's going to be,” he said. “It's going to be, perhaps, as totally different from the two prior Thor movies as Winter Soldier was from the first Captain America. We want to take it to new places, we've got new characters that will show how big we're swinging on this. And we have a Hulk.”

Yep, they have the Big Guy. I really think the addition of Bruce Banner/Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) should make for a very interesting dynamic in Thor: Ragnarok. After all, the Jade Giant has some smashing (pun intended) history with both Thor and his Big Bad brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston).

As for those new places Feige is hinting about, looks like some fans are about to get their cosmic wish that Thor leave Midgard (Earth) behind for his new adventure. There are Nine Realms after all, and some haven't been explored yet. Feige said:

“The film takes place within the cosmos primarily which is to say, frankly, very little Earth.”

Now, THAT’s intriguing. What do you guys think? Directed by Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows), Thor: Ragnarok will hammer its way into movie theaters on Nov. 3, 2017.
