The LEGO Batman Movie is just around the corner, and to remind everyone of the onslaught of hilarity to come, DC Entertainment has dropped four amusing new TV spots targeting the twisted, off-kilter humor it's intent on delivering.
These quirky clips show Batman addressing the concerns of raising an adopted son, his questionable popularity among the Justice League members, arising insecurities and finding a suitable theme song, all rendered in that comforting candy-color world devised of CGI Danish bricks.
This follow-up to 2014's The LEGO Movie is produced by the creative team of Chris Miller and Phil Lord and directed by Robot Chicken's Chris McKay. It stars the vocal talents of Will Arnett (Batman), Zach Galifianakis (Joker), Ralph Fiennes (Alfred), Rosario Dawson (Barbara Gordon/Batgirl), Michael Cera (Dick Grayson/Robin), Billy Dee Williams (Harvey Dent/Two-Face) and Mariah Carey (Gotham Mayor McCaskill).
Here's the official synopsis:
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
Flap into this fab foursome of new previews, titled "Always Be Yourself," "Cue The Music," "Not Really A Hugger" and "Justice League Party," then tell us if you'll be locked into your seat when The LEGO Batman Movie tumbles into theaters Feb. 10, 2017.
