We’re less than two weeks away from the premiere of Guy Ritchie’s Arthurian opus King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, and ahead of the film’s debut, Warner Bros. has released a batch of exciting new clips and 20 minutes of B-roll footage.

The movie stars Charlie Hunnam as Arthur Pendragon, Jude Law as the villainous Vortigern, Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey as the Mage/Guinevere(?), Djimon Hounsou as Sir Bedivere, Eric Bana as Arthur’s father Uther Pendragon, Georgina Campbell as Kay, Annabelle Wallis as Maid Maggie, Aidan Gillen as Goosefat Bill, Tom Wu as George and Michael McElhatton as Jack’s Eye.

What’s exciting about King Arthur: Legend of the Sword is that the fantasy movie will feature magic (like John Boorman’s Excalibur), while Ritchie will put his own spin on the Arthurian Legends (Arthur was born and raised in a brothel in Ritchie’s version and there seems to be no Lancelot in sight, unless I am mistaken). So, if you’re a fan of the Sherlock Holmes director’s style, this movie should be right up your alley. Check out the clips below and let us know what you think. King Arthur: Legend of the Sword opens on May 12.

The young Arthur runs the back passages of Londonium with his crew, not knowing his royal lineage until he grabs Excalibur. Instantly confronted by the sword's influence, Arthur is forced to make up his mind. Joining the rebellion and an enigmatic young woman named Guinevere, he must learn to address her and eventually understand her magic weapon, deal with his demons and unite the people to defeat the dictator Vortigern, the man who murdered his parents and stole his crown to become king.
