Have you ever been stalked by a TV clown in your nightmares? You will be now.

As if there weren’t enough horror-movie circus monsters laughing maniacally or lurking in sewers, Bloody Disgusting unearthed artists Nelson Cooper and Andrew Freeman scaring the living deadlights out of Monsterpalooza when they merged two of the most terrifying entities ever: Twisty the Clown from American Horror Story and Krusty the Clown from The Simpsons. Just let out that scream you’ve been holding in already.

It’s hard to say which of these clowns is more terrifying, which is probably the real reason behind the mashup.

Twisty the Clown from American Horror Story: Freak Show

Twisty is the serial killer in greasepaint from seasons 4 and 7 of American Horror Story. He appears like he isn’t capable of anything more damaging than a soul-sucking stare until the bodies start piling up at his feet in AHS: Freak Show. In AHS: Cult, he even stars in his own comic book and leads a brigade of not-so-funny faces to an all-out murder spree.

Krusty the Clown from The Simpsons

Any child of the ‘80s or ‘90s who grew up with Bart and Lisa Simpson was also subjected to Krusty’s turquoise hair and unnerving laugh at primetime and probably in their dreams. How even a fictional TV network could pick this bozo up is unthinkable. Krusty is crude on air and cruder off camera. He’s also been responsible for legions of kids actually seeing a clown go to a bar.

This sickeningly Frankensteined mashup has Krusty’s weirdly elongated head, red nose, and the same bulging eyes that The Simpsons creator Matt Groening once described as “Simpsonic hellish”. The dirt-smeared makeup and grotesque scars are obviously Twisty's. Those twisted neon tufts of Krusty hair are a hybrid, and the removable mouthpiece looks mostly Krusty-ish until it reveals the mouth that got blown off of Twisty with a shotgun.

Of course, KrusTwisty just had to wear the cartoon clown’s dusty purple shirt and blue bow tie —and that really is a living person under there.
