The third season of Fox’s one-time hit Sleepy Hollow is aiming to revamp the premise to regain some former glory, and to do that, they’ll be digging deep into the one thing that really works about the series.
Producer Alex Kurtzman told Give Me My Remote the new season will focus on Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie (Nicole Beharie), and what makes their relationship tick. He also confirmed there will be a new (mysterious) enemy causing trouble for the gang, apparently filling in the gap left behind by Headless. It also sounds like they’ll continue exploring the past, which was honestly one of the most entertaining parts of the series, so it’s nice to see that will stick around.
Check out an excerpt from his comments below and let us know what you think:
“There’s going to be a new villain that people haven’t seen before, who is going to bring a lot of havoc. Crane is going to be looking deep into his past for what his partnerships might have been during the Revolutionary War, and how that affects his relationship with Abbie now. One of those characters may or may not return from the past in certain ways. I can’t tell you exactly how, but they might… I think the question is who are Crane and Abbie without each other, and who are they together?”
Sleepy Hollow's third season is set to premiere Oct. 1 on Fox.
