Following the recent release of the first full Season 2 trailer for FX’s Legion, the network is ramping up the promo mill for the X-Men spinoff series with a batch of new promos. While three of the teasers will make you feel right at home if you loved the show’s utterly bizarre (but oh so good) first season, the last one provides some intriguing information about the series’ Big Bad.

The brainchild of Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley, Legion stars Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey, The Guest) in the role of David Haller, the son of Charles Xavier — a fact that was confirmed to the viewers back in Season 1, but not to David himself… yet.

When the show returns for a 10-episode second season, the Summerland group will have partnered up with Division 3 to fight Amahl Farouk, aka The Shadow King (Navid Negahban). While the trailer revealed David will be released from the mechanical sphere in which he was trapped at the end of Season 1, we don’t know how or when that will happen yet, but we do know we’ll get to see what bizarre stuff he experienced while in there.

Clocking in at 30 seconds, the first promo sees Ptonomy (Jeremie Harris) ask Syd (Rachel Keller) whether she trusts David. To which she simply replies “He’s my man.” That's it. No more explanation needed. We also have a shot of Farouk who promises power, as well as more scenes highlighting just how trippy Hawley’s show is.

The weirdness of Legion is also perfectly exemplified in the second and third teasers. When Cary (Bill Irwin) begs David to say something if this one can hear him, David finally replies by asking about waffles. As for teaser number three, we see David and Syd in some sort of dream-like dimension where they’re both on a bridge that’s twisted Inception-style. But it's the fourth teaser that stands out, Why? Because this one reveals some interesting and crucial information about Farouk/Shadow King himself.

Legion returns April 3 on FX.
