There's been a ton of Stranger Things goodness coming our way this week, and the latest gives us a glimpse into Eleven's past.
Following a trailer, a teaser clip, a poster, a mobile game, and a secret clip that all arrived this week ahead of the October 27 premiere of Season 2, Netflix has dropped yet another promo for Stranger Things that focuses this time on poor, tormented, and presumably missing Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).
In this one, we see Eleven in the throes of a series of flashbacks, during which a string of almost subliminal images flash by as she recites a series of cryptic words: "3 to the left," "4 to the right," "sunflower" and "rainbow" are the ones we think we can make out (with accompanying images to help), as well as a continuing reference to "4:50."
What does it all mean? Hopefully we'll find out as the season progresses, since the Duffer Brothers have said that Eleven's murky backstory will be a major component of the second season.
We don't know if it's timed to coincide with the beginning of Halloween season or this weekend's New York Comic Con blowout (or likely both), but it's been fun to watch this week as the final marketing push for Stranger Things 2 begins. Now we just have to hope the show is worth that price hike Netflix is inflicting upon us this month as well.
