Economy got you down? You're not alone. Even newspaper photographers known for snapping awesome pics of web-slinging superheroes have fallen on hard times. But when The Daily Bugle says you gotta go, you gotta go.

In Amazing Spider-Man #623, which goes on sale today, Peter Parker gets the pink slip. Though, from what we've heard, he's not getting laid off but is out on the streets after crossing publisher J. Jonah Jameson. Whatever the reason, life won't be easy for Spider-Man, because those web cartridges don't come cheap.

"He's going to struggle with unemployment and trying to save the city while he can barely afford to keep a roof over his head," said Marvel Senior Editor Steve Wacker.

Maybe it's time to rethink that whole dead-tree thing anyway, Peter. With newspapers dying, it's way past time time for you to start hawking those shots of Spidey fighting the Vulture online instead.
