Variety is reporting that actress Leah Gibson (Watchmen, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, The 100), has been cast as a series regular in Season 2 of Jessica Jones as a character named Ingrid. In the original casting notice, Ingrid is described as being educated as a nurse, but with a history of living on the streets and being attracted to both men and women.

If you're a Marvel fan, you may not recognize Ingrid as a name, but the MCU Exchange has speculated that Ingrid may be the Netflix/Marvel version of Mary Walker, or as fans know her, Typhoid Mary and Bloody Mary. Given that Mary is a current enemy and former lover of Matt Murdock's, a Daredevil / Jessica Jones cross would make sense, and it would definitely give Jessica a good female villain for Season 2.

Of course, it could be someone else entirely, unless Ingrid starts out as Mary's original, more confident self, instead of her split personality. Also, Mary was never a nurse as far as I can tell. Is it possible Ingrid is someone else entirely? Also, an attraction to both men and women? That might make things pretty interesting, depending on who she really is.

What do you think?
