While detailed news of Gareth Edwards' Star Wars: Rogue One, aka Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is just starting to filter in, the heist film chronicling the renegade team of freedom fighters that stole the plans for the original Death Star is well into its production schedule.  The first anthology film out of the gate will strike theaters on Dec. 16, 2016, and fans are already clamoring for any juicy details.

Here's a leaked image from one of the stars, Donnie Yen, showing a trio of old-school Star Wars helmets apparently from the movie's prop and wardrobe department.  The middle helmet is an obvious standard-issue stormtrooper helmet, flanked by what appears to be battle-scarred Imperial and Rebel fighter pilots' headgear used during the daring dogfights that are sure to swarm the silver screen next year.

Have a look and tell us if you dig the no-nonsense, McQuarrie-esque design.
