Remember that time Nintendo paired its bizarro Super Mario Bros. Super Show with a Friday timeslot Legend of Zelda cartoon? Of course you do. You say, "Excuuuuuse me, Princess!" all the time, like it's still a thing. Well we've got something better, and, as is often the case, it comes from the fans.
Brought to us from online animators Shamoozal, Link's Triumph is an animated short that does what the original animated series (and those terrible Philips CD-i games) never could—capture the essence and the feelings behind the franchise people have loved since 1986.
How? Well it's got that scary, frenetic energy the game has. It captures the way Link can tell you everything about what he's thinking without his saying a word. And it features an enormous monster being felled with brains as much as brawn. In essence, it is Zelda! Check it out.
What do you think? What else would you want to see if a new Zelda animated series ever came out?
