DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has promoted a Season 3 villain to series regular for the show’s upcoming fourth season.

According to Deadline, Courtney Ford will be reprising the role of Nora Darhk full-time when the time-traveling superhero series returns in the fall. The daughter of Neal McDonough’s Arrowverse villain Damien Darhk, Nora made her first appearance in the fifth episode of Season 3, “Return of the Mack.”

Ford will be joining Matt Ryan (John Constantine) and Jes Macallan (Ava Sharpe) as a full-time member for Season 4 while Keiynan Lonsdale (Wally West/Kid Flash) will be leaving as series regular (and he explains why).

Over the course of the season, Nora and her father faced off against the Legends when the father-daughter duo tried to unleash the demon Mallus upon the world, with the character recurring heavily and appearing in several episodes. Nora even helped the Legends a bit at some point, and forged a bond with Ray Palmer (real-life hubby Brandon Routh).

The fourth season of Legends of Tomorrow will see history being infected with “Fugitives.” As per the official synopsis, they are “magical creatures from myths, fairytales, and legends. Having been expelled throughout time by people like Constantine, these Fugitives are now returning to our world in droves and making a real mess of things. As the Time Bureau is distrustful of and ill-equipped to deal with magic, the Legends must team up with everyone’s favorite demonologist to set history back on track.”

It would appear that Constantine and the Legends will need all the help they can get to deal with a season chock-full of magical creatures. Since Ford will now be a regular, that could potentially mean enlisting Nora Darhk’s help and perhaps give her a seat on the Waverider. The move would nicely dovetail into that second chance Ray talked to her about during the Season 3 finale… unless they bring her back as a villain again. Guess we’ll have to wait and see which direction they chose to take her character for the upcoming season.

Season 4 of Legends of Tomorrow will premiere on Oct. 22 at 9 p.m. on The CW. Will Nora switch sides and help the Legends, or will she once again be a villain? Chime in with your thoughts in the comments below.
